Philanthropy Activities

Philanthropy is the heart of our organization.  Mothers and daughters working together to help serve our Chapter’s chosen projects earn philanthropy hours.  For the 2010-2011 year, Azaleas worked just under 20,000 hours for our Chapter and the Katy Community.

Any mother-daughter team can assist many of the Chapter’s philanthropies.  The philanthropies that we support are as follows:

ARC of Katy                                                     Katy Christian Ministries

Cane Island Nursing Home                                 Krause Center

            Christ Clinic                                                      Make-a-Wish Foundation

Project Linus                                                     Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital

Christus St. Catherine Hospital                           Pregnancy Help Center

Fort Bend Library - Cinco Ranch                         Special Olympics

            Home Delivered Meals                                       Special Pals

Independence Fund Ride                                    Susan G. Koman Foundation

The Philanthropy Vice President of the Azalea Chapter, along with our liaisons, continues to contact community philanthropies to determine where we can best be of service.
